Course summary

Our Construction Engineering Management course provides the best foundation for a career as leaders in construction project management, providing the underpinning technical and managerial knowledge and transferable skills.

Society requires an integrated built environment in which buildings and infrastructure work together to support our evolving ways of life. This requires the multitude of construction professions to be adept at forming project teams that integrate expertise to provide solutions that work. Our School reflects the need for this integration in the interactions amongst our courses.

Construction Engineering Management students understand each profession’s perspective on what the built environment should be and how it is best created during the design and construction phases, and how it is operated in the long term. Our approach to learning helps our graduates understand the other professions they will be working with, giving them the ability to integrate well into the construction sector so they can excel in multidisciplinary teams.

This course is actively supported by our long-standing industry partners. These companies offer work placements, sponsorship and graduate jobs for students, and enable practical experience in the form of site visits and guest speakers.

Tuition fee status depends on a number of criteria and varies according to where in the UK you will study. For further guidance on the criteria for home or overseas tuition fees, please refer to the UKCISA website.

Additional fee information

The fees stated above are for the 2025/26 academic year; fees for 2026/27 have not yet been confirmed by the UK government. We will update this information as soon as it is available. Fees are reviewed annually and are likely to increase to take into account inflationary pressures.

While the cost of your tuition covers lots of things, it doesn’t cover everything. For instance this course doesn’t cover the cost of any stationery, printing, books or re-assessments which you might need.

UK tuition fees align with the applicable fee caps set by the UK government, and as such they are subject to changes made to the agreed cap in a specific year.

Sponsorship information

We work closely with a consortium of the leading UK companies who offer our students sponsorship and placement opportunities.

The Loughborough Construction Consortium provides a core of sponsoring organisations that offer excellent placement and sponsorship opportunities, supplemented by extensive collaborating organisations across the wider industry.

Sponsorship will provide you with a bursary during your study, summer placement work for those who want it, and a paid twelve-month placement with your sponsor company. In many cases, students are offered employment with their sponsor company after graduating, and many are now in senior positions within these companies.
