Law shapes the rules that govern everyday life. Combining its study with French enables you to develop a strong understanding of legal principles alongside advanced language skills and cultural awareness. You’ll divide your studies equally between both subjects, broadening your knowledge and enhancing your career prospects. Through your law studies, you’ll deepen your legal understanding and build essential skills in legal analysis and research. By studying French, you’ll engage with French-speaking cultures and communities, gaining a valuable advantage in the global workplace. French is one of several languages you can choose as part of our BA (Honours) Law and Languages.

Course Modules

This degree has three stages:
In Stage 1, you’ll study an introductory law module and two language modules.
Next, in Stage 2, you’ll study two law modules and a French module.
Finally, in Stage 3, you’ll study two law modules and another French module.
