Course summary

Our MA/MFA Fashion programme is built on the idea that designers are pioneers. We encourage you to push the boundaries of fashion and shape its future. This fashion postgraduate course offers you the opportunity to develop innovative design concepts and advance your creative practice.

This fashion postgraduate programme is a space for creative minds to explore fashion’s future. You’ll develop your skills to become a leader and innovator in the industry.

Depending on your chosen degree, you will complete 6 to 8 modules. These modules will help you:

Reflect on your research projects.
Define your creative and technical practice.
Build a professional portfolio of independent and original work.
You’ll gain practice-based experience through live industry projects and a master's -level placement (10-12 weeks) in a field related to your career goals.

You can apply for either an MA Fashion or an MFA Fashion. The MFA takes an extra year. Simply choose the MFA option when applying.

MA (Master of Arts)

Duration: 1 year
Focus: Research, creative practice, and an interdisciplinary learning project with measurable impact.
Modules: 6 (180 credits at Level 7)
MFA (Master of Fine Arts)

Duration: 2 years
Focus: Research, creative practice, and interdisciplinary projects in Year 1, leading to a larger research project in Year 2.
Modules: 8 (360 credits at Level 7)
Your coursework will be based on your practice-based research.
