Get ready with a foundation year and learn the foundational skills and knowledge to complete a full Honours degree. You'll be able to embark on this qualification without meeting the level 3 entry requirements, giving you the opportunity to study at degree level through this four year course.

Train for a rewarding career in law enforcement with our Professional Policing degree and kickstart your career. To join the police, you now need a recognised degree, and ours is licensed by the College of Policing.

At Canterbury Christ Church University, you'll gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure situations. You’ll learn from experienced professionals in realistic settings like our specialist Hydra Suite, interview rooms, and custody cells.

What you’ll learn

  • Understand the law, ethics, and powers that guide modern policing.

  • Develop communication and decision-making skills to manage complex incidents.

  • Explore real-life policing scenarios using advanced simulation technology.

  • Apply investigative techniques to solve crimes and safeguard the public.

  • Examine policing on a global scale, giving you insights into the real world of international security challenges.

  • You’ll graduate ready to join the police or explore careers in the civil service, border force, or the National Crime Agency.

If you're driven to protect, serve, and make a difference, this course will prepare you to step into a professional policing career with purpose and confidence.

We know employers are looking for dynamic, open-minded graduates who can adapt, innovate, and collaborate. So we have designed a new way of teaching and learning to ensure that you are work-ready for when you graduate.
