Our unique Global Philosophy degree offers you the chance to engage with a diverse range of philosophical traditions from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. This course will expand your knowledge and develop your critical understanding of philosophy in the context of a wider range of societies and historical eras than a traditional philosophy degree. You will investigate the origin, nature, methods, and limits of human knowledge; traditions of argumentation; as well as political and ethical systems of thought from a truly global perspective.
This degree also allows you to study political theory, political sociology, political economy, and international relations from a global perspective. You will also receive training in the theories and methods of these sub-disciplines, which you will then apply to the analysis of real world political situations.
