About the Course
The BA (Hons) Musical Theatre provides in-depth multi-disciplinary training shaped by current industry trends. Technique in singing, dance and acting, artistry and performance, work ethic, confidence and employability are areas of focus which will give you the tools required to succeed in meeting the demands of the profession.

During the course, you can also select an option module to diversify your training and specialise in an area of interest. This is a crucial element of training as you are given the opportunity to explore your personal identity as an emerging creative artist. This course encourages independence, entrepreneurialism and innovation because these qualities will be required of any performer entering the contemporary performing arts industry. We don’t want you just to get work, we want you to make work.

All learning is underpinned by regular mental and physical resilience classes; another key element of your training. Being a musical theatre performer today means you need a skillset that makes you unique. You also need a direct and extensive network and an innate understanding of the industry you will be working in.

Alongside a high-end musical theatre training, we offer a program that develops complementary employability skills essential to a musical theatre performer in order to broaden work opportunities and connections. The course includes:

  • High-end industry-standard training in acting, singing and dance

  • TV and film techniques

  • Performance projects delivered by our network of professional performers, producers, directors and choreographers

  • Agent panels

  • 1-1 mentoring with our dedicated Careers Manager
