OVERVIEW

The BSc (Hons) Accounting for Business (Top-Up) degree is designed for students with a Higher National Diploma (HND), foundation degree or equivalent qualification. This is a one-year top-up course that aligns with the changing working environment where strategic decision-making for professionals is needed more in business.

During your time on this course, you will develop essential skills in financial analysis, budgeting, strategic planning, risk assessment and investment management. The course also include a module on leadership, change management and strategy positions, so you can work towards securing leadership positions in large organisations.

To help you develop the latest knowledge employers look for, we’ll look at technology and innovation that aims to compete with traditional financial methods. We’ll also consider how the use of technology has the potential to create change and help organisations evolve.

To be considered, you should normally have successfully completed one of the following:

•A relevant Higher National Diploma (HND)
•A relevant Foundation Degree
•Level 5 (or equivalent) of a relevant undergraduate degree, to the equivalent of 240 CATS credits.
