Foundations of Adult Nursing Practice - 30 credits
Fundamental Knowledge and Skills for Nursing - 30 credits
Integrated Care for People With Acute and Long Term Conditions - 30 credits
Year 2:
Evidence, Innovation and Improvement in Nursing - 15 credits
Improvement Project - 15 credits
Professional Responsibilities and Governance in Nursing - 15 credits
Proficiency in Adult Nursing Practice - 45 credits
Assessment
You'll be assessed through:
essays, reports, case studies and reflective accounts
clinical practice assessments including portfolios and simulation
tests and examinations
presentations and scientific posters
online learning activities
You’ll be able to test your skills and knowledge informally before you do assessments that count towards your final mark.
You can get feedback on all practice and formal assessments so you can improve in the future.
The following entry points are available for this course:
A second-class honours degree, or equivalent, completed within the last 5 years. Applicants should have completed 12 years of general education with relevant documentation to support this (or 10 years with relevant vocational training). All shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview in support of their application, and will be asked to submit a portfolio of evidence that they have a minimum of 800 hours of prior relevant clinical experience and 650 hours of relevant theory learning. If successful, applicants will be required to declare if they have been subject to any disciplinary procedures of fitness to practice by any other regulator, professional body, employer or educational establishment. Applicants must pass Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and Occupational Health checks before starting the course.
