Standard Qualification requirements
UCAS Tariff - Not accepted
A level - CCC
Preferably including English or a Literary Subject*. If no literary subject is achieved at A level, we will consider applications where GCSE English has been achieved at grade B/5 or above.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - MMM
Minimum grades MMM (Merit, Merit, Merit) preferably in a related subject. If not in a related subject, we will consider applications where GCSE English has been achieved at grade B/5 or above.
Access to HE Diploma - D: 6 credits
M: 39 credits
Pass Access to HE Diploma in a related subject with 45 credits overall, with minimum 39 credits at grade Merit & 6 credits at grade Distinction preferably including English or a Literary subject* at Level 3. If a literary subject is not studied at Level 3, English must be studied at Level 2.
Scottish Higher - BBBC
Preferably including English or a Literary Subject*. If no literary subject is achieved at Higher, we will consider applications where National 5 English has been achieved at grade B or above.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 27 points
Award of Diploma with 27 points overall with three HL subjects at grades 6, 5, 4 preferably including English or a Literary subject* at minimum grade 5. If no literary subject is achieved at HL, English must be achieved at SL grade 5.
Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017) - H2, H3, H3, H3
Grades H2, H3, H3, H3 at Higher Level preferably including English or a Literary subject*. If no literary subject is achieved at Higher Level, English must be achieved at grade O3 or above.
T Level - M
T Level preferably completed in a Literary subject. If not, GCSE English must be achieved at grade B/5 or above.

Year 1 entry requirements
HNC preferably in Social Sciences or Social Services with grade B in the Graded Unit.
Other Literary based HNCs may be considered
If the literary criteria has not been achieved at HNC, we will consider applications where National 5 English has been achieved at grade B or above
Year 2 Entry Requirements
HNC - Pass in Social Sciences with A in the graded unit.
SQA Advanced Higher - BBC to include a Literary Subject*.
GCE A Level - BBB to include English or a Literary Subject*.
Minimum Year 3 Entry Requirements
HND - Pass in Social Sciences with Grades AB at SCQF Level 8 in the Graded Units.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
