This four year MEng Artificial Intelligence degree builds on the three year BEng and will give you new skills in numerical software development, enabling you to apply knowledge and mathematical principles in the design and implementation of modern artificial intelligence, machine learning and data science systems, providing the opportunity to work in a wide range of industries from transport to healthcare and communications to enterainment. Beyond modules specialising in core skills required for all AI, machine learning (ML) and data scientists and engineers, the programme offers a broad range of optional modules that derive from world-leading research carried out by our academic staff in areas such as Deep Learning, Computer Vision and Robotics.
The demand for highly numerate and skilled scientists and engineers in the filed of AI is already huge and continues to grow. Southampton Computer Science graduates are also in high demand as we have a world-leading reputation for creative solutions based on cutting-edge knowledge and state-of-the-art technical skills.
