Do you want to develop the mathematical skills sought out by so many employers? Do you want to follow your passion and pursue further study in mathematics? Are you considering a career in research within academia or industry? If so, this degree is for you.
You’ll study in an intellectually stimulating environment, where you can follow your own mathematical interests by choosing from a wide range of advanced topics in both pure and applied mathematics. You’ll develop your research skills and explore in depth an area of your choice in your MSc dissertation, supported by one of our expert faculty.
Our research at Sussex plays an important role in the current development of areas as diverse as:
analysis and partial differential equations
mathematical physics
mathematics applied to biology
numerical analysis and scientific computing
probability and statistics.
