OVERVIEW
Want to create events with the ‘wow’ factor? Managing events is an exciting sector offering considerable potential for those with the right blend of communication, leadership and managerial abilities. Building on these skills, our Events Management top-up degree course will help you launch a career working in everything from meetings and exhibitions to sporting events, festivals and wedding planning.

This events management course is designed for anyone who has previously studied a relevant subject (up to Level 5), enhancing your understanding of the sector with detailed examination of events systems, project management and how to oversee a live event. You will also have the chance to go on an overseas residential visit and conduct an international research project.

Our events top-up degree is dual accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), a recognised professional management body. This means when you complete the top-up course, you will also be eligible for an industry-recognised Award in Leadership and Management from the CMI (subject to payment of an additional fee), boosting your attractiveness to prospective employers.

Our Digital Creative Studio features state-of-the-art facilities including a video production studio with 4K cameras and green screen technology. The studio also hosts audio podcasting, vision mixing and editing facilities, as well as a creative media and design lab with graphics tablets, high-spec computers and industry-standard media technology including Adobe Creative Cloud software.

If you want to set up your own business, our Enterprise Hive provides a wide range of start-up support, including incubation space, tailored mentoring from industry experts and networking opportunities.

ACCREDITATIONS AND PARTNERSHIPS
This course is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute and Institute of Hospitality.

We are also a member of various industry associations including EVCOM, MIA, AEME and NOEA.

PLACEMENTS
We encourage students on our top-up course to gain work experience throughout your studies.
