If you want to launch your own start-up or help a new venture to grow, this BA (Hons) Business Studies with Entrepreneurship course will give you the skills and knowledge to do it.
Leading employers in the UK have placed a greater emphasis on enterprising and entrepreneurial skills in their employees, so we have created this course to fulfil real business needs.

What you'll study
Developed in partnership with local business organisations in both the public and private sectors, this entrepreneurship course will help you meet the challenges of building your own business.
We will give you the information, tools, techniques and experience you need to devise creative solutions to the full range of business problems. The knowledge you will gain during this course can help you to start a rewarding career.
You will learn from staff who have worked in a wide range of sectors, all of whom have business or industry experience. This diversity of expertise will help you develop your breadth of knowledge.
We use a range of teaching methods so that you can get the most from your learning experience. During lectures, you will be introduced to new concepts, models and theories, while practical sessions will help you understand how the theory works in reality. You will learn through a mix of:
• task-based learning to develop problem-solving skills
• group work to encourage communication and experience sharing
• discussion and reflection to encourage inquiry, application and analysis, and experimentation
• group and individual tutorials by appointment, to support your learning in seminar
• online platforms.
Our longstanding significant experience in Business Studies has also helped us to build links with professional bodies including the:
• Chartered Institute of Marketing
• Institute of Direct Marketing
• Chartered Institute of Personnel.
These links can open up opportunities for further learning and skills development for ambitious business people. Whether you aspire to work within a successful business or to start your own, this course will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed.
