How is the behaviour of households, organisations and governments determined? How is that affected by their economic environment? How do global markets work? Which public services should be funded? Explore how economics seeks to answer these and other questions on our Economics BSc, and develop your understanding of the subject’s theories and techniques to open doors to a range of exciting future career opportunities.

I Interested in unravelling the complexities of economics and deciphering the motives and behaviours of key market stakeholders? Study economics to cultivate the skills for analysing these interactions and attain a comprehensive understanding of economic models and tools. This will equip you to accurately assess environments and devise effective policies as a future economist.

Our curriculum provides you with expertise in economic principles, seamlessly blending theory with practical applications. It focuses on strengthening core areas including econometrics and business analytics, statistics with Bloomberg, artificial intelligence and labour markets, growth strategies and policies, international money, cryptocurrencies and applied quantitative research. You will enhance your skills in economic research and communication across diverse audiences, conduct advanced analysis of economic relationships, improve your proficiency in statistical software, and engage in real-world projects and live trading simulations to strengthen your competencies in understanding and applying economics principles.

Practical, career-focused teaching and learning ensures that you can apply the theory you’re learning to real-world scenarios that will build your expertise and confidence. We will also get you thinking about sustainability and business ethics so when you begin work or start your own business you can be a force for good in the world.
