At Brighton, you’ll be part of a community that helps you grow, no matter what your background. Throughout the course you’ll develop the skills and knowledge to qualify, with around 50% of the course spent on placement. Most placements are with South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation, but other opportunities include working in areas such as mental health, paediatrics and primary care to ensure you gain a wide range of experience.

You will also practise in our specialist facilities to build your confidence and knowledge through real-life scenarios. Our inclusive approach to learning will help you go further; we’ll make sure you play to your strengths and learn in ways that suit you best.

Brighton’s paramedic graduates have successful careers working with patients, families and communities in primary care, acute care and critical care settings. The Graduate Outcomes survey found that 95% of our paramedic graduates were in work or further study and 95% of working graduates were in highly skilled work as health professionals 15 months after their degree.
