Why Paramedic Science?
Start your career as a Paramedic in a challenging and rewarding programme developed in partnership with South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT). If you’re looking for an exhilarating and rewarding career as a Paramedic working at the frontline of healthcare, our Paramedic Science degree will equip you with the tools and experience you need to be successful.
You’ll not only develop essential academic and practical abilities, but will also gain wide experience and knowledge of a variety of contemporary healthcare contexts, as you prepare. The course is fully approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) which enables graduates to apply for HCPC registration as a paramedic.
You’ll learn in our state-of-the-art FutureSim simulation facility, where you’ll benefit from cutting-edge, AI-enabled simulation environments and practise realistic clinical scenarios using the same tools and technologies as healthcare professionals.
Our paramedic science courses are ranked 3rd in the UK for student satisfaction and and 7th overall by the Complete University Guide 2025.
Students applying for this course may be eligible for the NHS Learning Support Fund, which provides a non-repayable training grant of £5,000 per academic year.
