Course summary

This is a 4 year degree course. Please ensure that when you apply for this course you choose Point of entry 1 in your UCAS Hub.

The course provides you with a fully engaging studio design-based education and will allow you to explore your creative design abilities exploiting traditional and modern technologies and materials through all the design stages.

Students will learn how architecture can shape communities and cultures, developing a deep understanding of sustainable solutions for the Climate Crisis.

Our proven track record of research and industry engagement in the field of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and advanced visualisation/modelling technologies is embedded into the course.

As you develop your knowledge of the design process, the use of digital technologies will position you at the cutting edge of today's global construction industry, enabling you to model and manage the full spectrum of design information.

During the course, different trips will be arranged by the school and at Level 6; an International one will allow the students to learn from other countries

Prepare for Foundation Pathway: We will consider applicants who have not achieved level 3 qualifications if you have a keen interest in this subject area or hold relevant experience. To receive an offer through this route you will be required to successfully attend and pass a Prepare for Foundation event. This is a one-day programme which is designed to assess your keen interest or recent experience in the subject, through a written assessment and a variety of activities. During the event you will have the opportunity to ask questions, be introduced to studying a higher education foundation course and meet staff and fellow students.
