The BA (Hons) Theatre and Creative Performance programme combines rigorous practical and theoretical training to develop versatile, innovative performers and creators. Students acquire skills in devising, producing, and facilitating creative work across diverse contexts, blending artistic, technical, inclusive, and entrepreneurial practices for the creative industries. The curriculum fosters artistic innovation, interdisciplinarity, and social engagement. Students develop independent artistic identities through research, critical reflection, and comprehensive portfolio building. With extensive industry links, the programme offers authentic opportunities including performing, making theatre, touring theatre, festival production, international exchanges, and applied community projects. Throughout their studies, students build resilience and adaptability, preparing for diverse professional careers with real-world projects and mentorship from experienced practitioners. The programme's inclusive ethos ensures equitable participation and supports personal and academic development, empowering graduates as socially conscious and entrepreneurial artists ready to navigate the evolving artistic landscape.

The majority of your work will be assessed via practical means, through performances, presentations, and skill shows. Theoretical and critical engagement will be assessed in a variety of ways that include essays, professional discussions, application forms, and production portfolios.

A Foundation Degree or HND in a relevant subject area (for level 5 and 6 entry)
