Course summary

If you have potential, but you're missing the appropriate qualifications, then our foundation year course offers a route onto our Engineering degree programmes.

The course is aimed at:

  • A level students who have not recently studied Maths

  • Mature students looking to change their career

You'll spend your foundation year learning maths and physics content to A level standard. You'll also apply this learning to develop your practical skills in experimental labs.

After successfully completing the foundation year, you'll transfer into Year 1 of an Engineering degree of your choice.

We build employability into every aspect of our courses. Alongside developing an in-depth understanding of your subject, you'll gain a range of transferable skills that will allow you to take on a career in a number of sectors.

All our degree programmes are offered as three-year Bachelors (BEng) courses or four-year Integrated Masters (MEng) courses.
