Drwy gyfuno’r Gymraeg a Cherddoriaeth, byddwch yn ennill cyfoeth o wybodaeth a sgiliau trosglwyddadwy, gan agor drysau i amrywiaeth o lwybrau gyrfa. Gall gradd gydanrhydedd eich symbylu a rhoi boddhad, wrth ichi sylwi ar nodweddion tebyg a gwahaniaethau rhwng y ddau bwnc. Yn aml ceir materion a safbwyntiau sy’n cysylltu’r pynciau, boed y rheiny’n ddadansoddiad beirniadol, yn gyd-destun hanesyddol, neu’n ymchwil diweddar.

Mae cwrs y Gymraeg yn berthnasol i’r Gymru gyfoes ac yn cael ei ddysgu gan Ysgol sydd wedi’i chydnabod am ansawdd ac effaith ei hymchwil. Nod y cwrs yw cynhyrchu graddedigion sydd â dealltwriaeth drwyadl (yn academaidd ac yn ymarferol) o’r iaith Gymraeg, ei llenyddiaeth a’i diwylliant, lefel uchel o sgiliau ieithyddol ar lafar ac yn ysgrifenedig, a sgiliau cyflogadwyedd a chreadigol datblygedig sy’n berthnasol i’r Gymru fodern.

Mae rhaglenni israddedig yr Ysgol Cerddoriaeth yn hyblyg ac yn heriol, gan roi cyfle ichi arbenigo a datblygu eich diddordebau eich hun ochr yn ochr â chael eich trwytho ym meysydd estheteg cerddoriaeth, dadansoddi, cyfansoddi, ethnogerddoreg, hanes cerddoriaeth, a pherfformiad. Mae lleoliad yr ysgol yn ychwanegu’n fawr at ei hapêl ar gyfer selogion cerddoriaeth, gan fod Caerdydd yn lleoliad gwych ar gyfer astudio cerddoriaeth yn y DU: mae gan y ddinas gwmni opera proffesiynol, Opera Cenedlaethol Cymru a Cherddorfa Symffoni broffesiynol, Cerddorfa Genedlaethol Gymreig y BBC. Extended Project

For applicants taking the EPQ qualification, an A in the EPQ can be recognised to lower the entry requirements by a single grade. For example an AAB offer would be “AAB from 3 A levels or ABB from 3 A levels and a grade A in the EPQ”. Please note that any subject specific requirements must be met.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme
31-29

31-29 overall or 665-655 in 3 HL subjects. Must include grade 5 in HL Music. You must also have a Welsh Language qualification equivalent to grade B at A-level.

WJEC Level 3 Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales

The Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales will be accepted in lieu of one A level at the A level grades specified, excluding any subject specific requirements.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)

D-M in a BTEC Certificate in any subject, grade B in A-level Music, and grade B in Welsh (First or Second language).

Welsh Baccalaureate - Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate (first teaching September 2015)

The Welsh Baccalaureate Skills Challenge Certificate will be accepted in lieu of one A Level at the A Level grades specified, excluding any subject specific requirements.

We do not accept Critical Thinking, General Studies, Citizenship Studies, or other similar equivalent subjects.

We will accept a combination of BTEC subjects, A-levels, and other qualifications, subject to the course specific grade and subject requirements.

English language requirements
