The BSc (Hons) Agricultural Management Top-up aims to provide students with a learning environment which builds on the platform of the UCS Agricultural Management Foundation Degree. Alternatively, students could have studied a similar Foundation Degree or HND elsewhere.
Whether you are focused on farm management or an associated industry, this course aims to supply graduates with the opportunity to develop systematic understanding and detailed knowledge of the key concepts, contexts and technologies shaping the developments in the agrifood sector.
Industry links form a critical part of our course with regular visits, guest speakers and workshops from sector leaders.
Progression Opportunities
Successful completion of the Degree will provide you with the opportunity to progress to employment or further study in an agriculture/food related subject, or for senior roles in the agricultural industry or working within the management team of associated food industries.

• Agricultural Business Management
• Strategic and Human Resource Management
• Food Chain Management
• Research Project.
Modules are assessed through a combination of coursework and formal examination. Coursework could include written / practical reports; in-class tests; case studies; essays; oral presentations; posters and a dissertation which allows independent research in a topic of interest, developed with staff on the programme.
To work as a teacher at a state school in England or Wales, you will need to achieve qualified teacher status (QTS). This is offered on this course for the following level:
