We offer a first year residential course in the Lake District. Over 4 days, students engage in an inter-disciplinary field experiment and activities that build on principles covered across Year 1 modules
Gain professional experience with external partners, including Swim England, Birmingham Royal Ballet, NHS trusts, British Gymnastics, Age UK, and The Football Association
Study Abroad at an overseas university for a year on the International Year option. Destinations include USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Hong Kong

A level requirements are dependent on the number of preferred science subjects included. Some offers of ABB will be made to those applicants with multiple A levels from the preferred list and an exceptional supporting statement.
Preferred Science Subjects: Biology/Human Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Geography, Maths, PE/Sports Studies, Psychology, Physics, Statistics, Geology
Specified subjects excluded for entry: Applied Science, Citizenship Studies, Communication and Culture, Critical Studies, Critical Thinking, General Studies, Moving Image Arts, Science in Society, Use of Maths and World Development.
6,6,6 - 6,5,5 in Higher level subjects plus 32 points overall. Higher level subjects need to include the required subjects as defined for the A-level qualification, where applicable.
Accepted subjects: Applied Human Biology, Applied Science, Equine Management, Health and Social Care, Sport, Sport and Exercise Science, Sport and Exercise Sciences, Sport, Fitness and Personal Training, Sporting Excellence and Performance, Sports Coaching and Development.
Accepted in place of a non-required A level with the equivalent grade.
Accepted in place of A levels with the following grade equivalencies: D3 = A; M2 = B, M3=C. Combinations of A levels and Principle subjects are accepted. NB required subjects must be offered (see A level Section)

The University will charge the maximum approved tuition fee per year. For the 2027 year of entry, we expect that the tuition fee for your first year of study will be £10,050.
