Overview
Prepare to excel in business on a global stage by combining language studies with a cutting-edge management course. Become fluent in your chosen language while gaining a deep understanding of the societies and cultures where that language is spoken, all while building your expertise in global business, marketing, and communication.
You’ll study French, Spanish, or Japanese to degree level, as well as choose from a range of specialist modules in business, marketing, management, and global communication. You can also broaden your skill set by learning an additional language, such as Arabic, BSL, Chinese, or German (subject to availability). This powerful combination of management and language skills opens doors to exciting careers in a range of global sectors where multilingual and multicultural expertise is in high demand.
You’ll have access to our language lab with its cutting-edge audiovisual translation and interpreting technologies, and we offer a huge range of activities for you to get involved in, both on our beautiful UEA campus and in the vibrant city of Norwich. In your third year, you'll enhance your experience of your chosen language and culture by living in a country where that language is spoken. You can study at a university (all languages) or work on a teaching assistantship or placement (French and Spanish only). We’ve exciting partnerships all over the world, including in France, Spain, and Japan, as well as in Canada and Latin America.
Our BA in Modern Language with Management Studies graduates move on to a wide variety of careers, including in business and marketing, and language services.

Tuition fees increase annually for all students in subsequent years of study. Any fee increase is based on the fee for the year that you register. Home undergraduate fees, whose rates are regulated by the UK Government, will be amended in line with any alteration advised by the UK Government. Fees not regulated by the UK Government will increase by a maximum of 4% or RPI-X whichever is the higher. RPI-X is the Retail Prices Index excluding mortgage interest.
