UCAS Tariff - Not accepted
A level - BBC
A minimum of 3 A Levels at BBC - to include Mathematics and Physics.
To be considered for entry into Second Year, a minimum of 3 A Levels at ABB, with AB from Mathematics and Physics.
Also required: GCSE at C or above in English or English Language, Mathematics and in either Chemistry, or Physics or Dual Award Science.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - DMM
A minimum of DMM with the main subjects being Maths and Physics.
Also required: GCSE at C or above in English or English Language.
Scottish Higher - BBBB
A minimum of 4 H at BBBB (to include Maths and Physics) (C at AH may substitute for B at H) obtained at a single sitting or a minimum of 5H at AAABB obtained over 2 sittings.
National 5 in English also required.
Scottish Advanced Higher - ABB
For Second Year entry a minimum of 3 AH at ABB, a minimum of two must be Maths and Physics.
National 5 in English also required.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 32 points
A minimum of 32 points, with a minimum of 5 points at HL required from Maths and Physics.
For Second Year entry: a minimum of 34 points with a minimum of 6 at HL in the subject(s) nominated for Honours.
A minimum of Standard Level English and Maths also required.
Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017) - H3, H3, H3, H3, H3
Five subjects at Higher at H3, to include Mathematics and Physics. O in English or in English Language also required for entry.
Scottish HNC - Pass
For entry to Year 2:
Satisfactory completion of HNC Applied Sciences (120 SCQF credit points). B in Graded Unit.
Curriculum to include: Mathematics for Science 1 (H8XP 33), Mathematics for Science 2 (H8XR 34), Physics for Life Sciences (H93F 34), Physics Principles: Heat and Thermodynamics (H93G 34), Physics Principles: Mechanics (H93H 34), Electricity and Magnetism (H93L 34), and Physics: Light and Optics (H93J 35).
Scottish HND - Pass
For entry to Year 3:
Satisfactory completion of HND Applied Sciences (240 SCQF credit points). B in Graded Unit 1 and A in Graded Unit 2.
Curriculum to include: Statistics for Science 1 (H8XT 33), Physics 2 (H93E 35), Electronics (H93M 35) or Maxwell’s Equations (J7XD 35), Relativity and Quantum mechanics (J676 35/H93K 35), Dynamical Phenomena (J4C0 35), Linear Algebra 1 (J81W 34/J2RB 34), Linear Algebra 2 (J5WF 35/J2RC 35), Programming Foundations (H17X 34) or equivalent.
Foundation Apprenticeship (SCQF Level 6) - Pass
One FA is equivalent to a Higher at A. It cannot replace any required subjects.
