MA Special and Inclusive Education (Taught)

Inclusion is one of the most important challenges in education today. Getting it right takes more than good intentions.

Walbrook's MA Special and Inclusive Education degree is for education professionals who want to understand why inclusion is so hard to get right – and what genuinely needs to change in schools, systems, and policies to make education work for every learner.

You'll look at inclusion as a question about what education is for and who it was built to serve. You'll build a deep understanding of disability, neurodiversity, and the ways schools categorise learners. You’ll learn to see those categories clearly, including where they help and where they get in the way. You'll also examine how inequality works in education: how race, class, language, and background shape who gets access, who gets support, and who gets the most out of school.

Combined with your professional experience, this qualification supports your progression into specialist and leadership roles focused on inclusion, equity, and the rights of every learner.
