Aviation and Airport Management (With Professional Practice Year)

Course summary

This course covers a range of business leadership and specialist areas, including aviation law; business planning and entrepreneurship; crisis management and communication; and aviation safety and security. Using the latest technologies, you build your knowledge and experience so you graduate ready to take off in an exciting career in this field. With our campus close to London Luton Airport, you’re also well positioned to enhance your studies and pursue work placements with airlines and related organisations.

Professional Practice Year
Take your course over four years and include a Professional Practice Year after your second year of studies. It is an opportunity to apply your learning in the workplace while enhancing your knowledge and skills through fee-free paid practice. It also builds your CV and industry contacts with many students progressing to employment within their practice-year organisation or institution.

Facilities and Specialist Equipment

  • Up-to-the-minute interactive technologies including simulation software Simulate that allows you to take control of your own airline and gain key insights into airline management, while competing with course peers.

  • Use of real-world tabletop airport emergency exercise simulations.

  • Access to premium aviation data and analytics to enhance your critical analysis capabilities (a key competency sought by employers).
