Course summary

Accounting skills are some of the most valuable you can offer to an employer. And a strong understanding of economics will mean you can think strategically and apply your knowledge to any business. Join our BSc Accounting and Economics at Oxford Brookes, and you’ll combine your academic study and practical skills to prepare for a rewarding career.

There are many options to make the course your own. You could take a placement year - students have completed placements with Deloitte, Metro Bank, Marriott Hotels, PWC, Chelsea FC and Apple gaining real-world experience. You can pick from optional modules to help sharpen your fiscal skills. And in your final year you can choose to focus on either accounting or economics (or both).

You’ll join a supportive community of economic experts, qualified accountants and guest speakers who will share their insight to help you build useful skills for your future. They’ll keep you up to date with the latest developments in areas like environmental economics or business taxation so you can confidently begin your career in accountancy or economics.
