Criminology and Criminal Justice (Top-Up)

This Criminology and Criminal Justice BA (Hons) (Top Up) course enables you to turn your foundation degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from University at Blackburn College into a full BA (Hons) qualification, should you wish to progress on to a higher level of study.

The course will prepare you with the tools to critically analyse criminological ideas and criminal justice concerns as an ethical, professional practitioner in the justice sector whilst developing your critical engagement with key debates and theories.

At Level 6 you will build on the core knowledge, professional practice and research skills modules that you have completed at Levels 4 and 5. The teaching, learning and assessment will develop and deepen your critical thinking and analysis of key concepts within criminology and criminal justice.

Through the Research Report and Applied Research Report, you will have the opportunity to further develop your research interests, and most importantly, the significance of your research to improving criminal justice.
