Course summary

The BA (Hons) Audio Production and Songwriting degree programme will equip you with all the practical knowledge and business skills you will need to embark on your career within the music industry. You will develop your songwriting and audio production skills, including composition, music for movies, recording, mixing, and mastering, whilst exploring different genres of music in a critical and contextual manner.

The course will be taught in our state-of-the-art facilities, providing you with the chance to hone your skills in a professional recording studio environment. Each module is designed and taught by some of the industry’s most esteemed practitioners, with a wide range of musical expertise spanning from pop culture to film.
This three year course is designed to provide you with a solid foundation in music production and songwriting fundamentals, whilst developing your professional network within the music industry. The three core areas of the course - songwriting, music production and film sound - will equip you with all the skills you need to succeed in any related job roles.

This is a dynamic, hands-on course delivered by an experienced team of music industry professionals. The course is delivered in a range of different modes, from workshops to internships. All teaching methodologies are carefully selected in order to provide you with varied relevant and practical experience. You will be supported every step of the way in your studies, with assessments that allow you to test your knowledge throughout your academic journey.
