Foundation Year:
Mental Wealth and Professional Fitness, Creative and Technology Industries Study Skills, Creative and Technology Industries Data Skills, Media and Communication Skills, Computer Science in Practice.

Year 1:
Information Systems Modelling and Design, Software Development, Computer Systems and Networks, Web Technologies, Maths for Computing, Mental Wealth; Professional Life 1 (IT Project Pitching).

Year 2:
Database Systems, Cyber Security, Mental Wealth; Professional Life 2 (Computing in Practice), Systems Administration, Data Communications and Networks, Information Systems, Strategy and Management, Optional Placement.

Year 3:
Mental Wealth; Professional Life 3 (Project), Enterprise Architecture and Cloud Computing, Project Management, Business Continuity Planning, Advanced Topics in Cyber Security and Networks.

Assessment method

You will be assessed in a number of different ways including individual or group coursework or presentations, and exams. You might be asked to write a report, give a presentation or a demonstration of a piece of software or, in some cases, complete a practical task under examination conditions involving aspects of information system development, software development, network, cyber system analysis, threat and risks analysis, and research findings.

Feedback is provided within 15 working days in line with UEL's assessment and feedback policy.

Qualified teacher status (QTS)

To work as a teacher at a state school in England or Wales, you will need to achieve qualified teacher status (QTS). This is offered on this course for the following level:
