Extended Diploma (or equivalent) in a science or technology-based subject, including passes in mathematics.

Applicants with any other qualifications will also be considered on an individual basis, and will be invited for an interview to determine suitability.
If English is not the candidate's first language, an IELTS score of at least 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in all skills is also required.
Applicants who are able to demonstrate relevant work experience or knowledge will also be considered on an individual basis and will be invited for an interview to determine suitability.

Entry requirements for students joining after Year 1: HNC from B&FC for direct entry onto Level 5.
HNC or HND, or Foundation Degree with an overall merit grade in Mechanical, General, Electrical/Electronic or Aeronautical Engineering, or another appropriate Engineering discipline through recognition of prior learning from the College’s internal panel and Lancaster University.

All applicants will be required to attend an information, advice and guidance appointment either on campus or remotely. The session will give you the opportunity to meet our tutors and ask any questions you may have about studying at B&FC.
