Discover the fundamentals of diagnostic and therapeutic radiography in our comprehensive one-year foundation programme, an alternative entry route into one of the BSc Radiography courses at City St George's.

If you aspire to pursue Radiography at degree level but lack the necessary entry requirements or confidence for university study, this programme is designed specifically for you. Upon successful completion of the Introduction to Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiography programme you will become eligible to apply to study either of the following: BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or BSc (Hons) Therapeutic Radiography and Oncology programmes at City St George's, University of London (Programme Stage 1) subject to all of the following:

  • Achieving a grade of >40% overall

  • Successful admissions interview

  • Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and Occupational Health clearance

  • Completion of a radiography clinical visit form.

  • A passion for science and a desire to work in the healthcare sector with the public are essential prerequisites for this programme.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to enhance your confidence and develop study skills necessary for success in a university environment.

UCAS Tariff - 96 points

96 UCAS points from 3 A levels (typically CCC).

A level - CCC

96 UCAS points from 3 A levels (grades CCC). We do not accept A levels in General Studies or Critical Thinking

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - MMM

MMM (should be in Health and Social Care, Applied Psychology, Learning and Development, Sport and Exercise Sciences, Applied Science or Medical Science only).

Access to HE Diploma - M: 45 credits

Pass in a QAA recognised Access to HE Diploma. Full award 60 credits with a minimum of 45 credits at Level 3 45 Merits. Accepted pathways: Medical Science/Applied Science/Forensic Science or Health and Social Care. GCSE requirements: GCSE English and Mathematics at grade 4 (C) or above. Functional Skills level 2 in Maths and English will also be considered.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 24 points

A minimum of 5 in SL Maths and English

GCSE/National 4/National 5

All applicants must also hold five GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, including English Language, Mathematics, and Double Science.
