Course summary

Staff in the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences conduct cutting-edge research in fundamental and applied mathematics and physics, ranging from pure mathematics to applied nano-science at the interface between biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. The School collaborates with top research institutions in Germany, Japan, Norway, the Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, and the USA.

Students are supported and encouraged to submit papers to international scientific journals, present findings at conferences, and share knowledge with colleagues across the University.

Hi, I'm Gabby, and I've just finished my second year of creative advertising. My background is in photography and musical theatre/dance (basically anything creative). I currently work for the uni both as a marketing ambassador and a Unibuddy, but I also work at Lincoln Museum and Usher Gallery as a social media and marketing intern. I also just became the president of the Creative Advertising Society! I aspire to become a copywriter / creative in the advertising industry.

Technical Theatre and Stage Management - BA (Hons)
Hi, I'm Chloe a current second year student at the University of Lincoln, studying Technical theatre and stage management. I am also a cheerleader, having competed all across the UK and abroad in Florida and Amsterdam. I am part of the cheerleading society, on Red Arrows, one of the competitive teams. I love all things theatre, especially musicals and hope to be working on the West-End some day! In my first year, I lived in Valentine Court, one of the university owned accommodations, and for my second year I have a house with some course mates. Hi guys :) I'm Arianna and I am currently in my second year at the University of Lincoln for studying Biochemistry. I hope to get a pHD one day and become a lecturer. I am interested in cancer research, immunochemistry and vaccine development and might get into doing a Biotechnology or Microbiology Masters at Lincoln or Cancer Immunology and Therapeutics at University of Nottingham. I am currently in the arts and crafts society, 20 minute society, Biochemistry society, video game society, tabletop society and musical society at Lincoln. I am looking to do badminton/squash/table tennis weekly too. :)

Hi I’m Ellie and I’m a Second Year Pharmacy student. I will be at Lincoln for 3 more years and plan on becoming a pharmacist when I graduate. I did A Level Biology, Chemistry, Maths and EPQ and I am very familiar with the clearing process due to my A levels not going as expected so feel free to ask questions around this subject too! Clearing felt very daunting at first when things didn’t go as planned on results day, but the process was actually really easy and ended up finding the university that’s best for me. Everything was so quick and it really helped me to settle into university lifestyle. So yeah, any questions you have about this I’m happy to answer :)

Accountancy and Finance - BA (Hons)
I have just completed my first year as an Accountancy and Finance student at the University of Lincoln. I took a gap year before starting university in which I worked and travelled, whilst deciding what I wanted my future to look like! After university, I want to either train to be an accountant, or a teacher, possibly in maths, business or my degree area. I joined the University of Lincoln's Athletics society in September 2024, which has allowed me to make new friends, and take part in many social and competitive events. I ran my first 10k race in April 2025 with fellow society members! I live at home and commuted to campus during my first year. I either walked, drove or got the bus to university.
