Entry requirements
Plus English and Maths GCSE at Grade C/ level 4 or above.
UCAS points from A Levels, Scottish Highers or Advanced levels, BTEC, City and Guilds diplomas, Open University credits in lieu of A levels, Access to HE Diplomas, and T Levels are accepted.
We will also accept applications from students who have passed, or are predicted to gain a pass grade in the following specific course programmes:-
T Level: Education and Early Years (Assisting Teaching) L3
T Level: Education and Early Years (Early Years Educator) L3
Pearson BTEC Health & Social Care Extended Diploma Level 3
Access to Higher Education: Youth and Community
Access to Higher Education: Youth Work and Child Development
Access to Higher Education: Social Work
Access to Higher Education: Childhood Studies
or who have successfully completed one of the following apprenticeships:
Youth Support Worker Apprenticeship L3
Early Educator Apprenticeship Standard L3
Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Level 3
AP(C/E)L & RPEL may be considered for non-standard entry.
For international applications Academic IELTS at level 6 (minimum 5.5 in all components) is required. Please contact the Advice shop for advice and guidance. International candidates are also actively encouraged to access the International Students web page.
Candidates without UCAS points are welcome, if they can demonstrate suitable experience (a minimum of 100 hours of youth work experience).
An enhanced DBS is required that would allow you to work as a Youth Worker.
All applicants will be invited to interview to determine their suitability for the programme.
