Course summary

Throughout the course you will develop a thorough knowledge of the fundamental concepts of business management and students will be provided with the opportunity to study elective subjects in other disciplines, such as animal science, agriculture, horse business, rural surveying and land management. The delivery of the course includes the advantage of using case studies, which are often accompanied by site visits, giving you a hands-on feel for the land-based industries. By the end of the course the students will be equipped with the necessary skills to develop a career as a manager in the agri-food and land-based industries, or for self employment.

A level - BCC

Scottish Higher - BBCC

Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017) - H3, H3, H4, H4

GCSE/National 4/National 5

Applicants should be able to offer National 5 (A-C) or equivalent pass in English (for literacy) and Maths (for numeracy)

Scottish HNC - Pass

Applications may be considered for year 2 entry from applicants with relevant HNC qualifications. Please contact Admissions to discuss further.

Scottish HND - Pass

Applications will be considered for year 3 entry from applicants with relevant HND qualifications. Please contact Admissions to discuss further.

English language requirements

Applicants whose native language is not English and who have not been educated previously in the English language must provide evidence of their English language ability to ensure they can cope with the demands of a course taught and assessed in English.
