How can philosophy help us think about global problems, such as climate change, war, sweatshops, infectious disease, and gender injustice? Expand your knowledge, and prepare for your future at the forefront of global justice.
You’ll learn about how ethical theories apply to a range of complex problems that span the globe rather than any single territory. You can take a traditional theoretical route, or a more practical route by selecting the placement module and practice-based dissertation.
You'll learn from our philosophy experts who research across subject boundaries in academic and practical settings. Their specialisms include: health and wellbeing, climate change and the environment, human rights and global justice, war and intervention, bioethics, and gender justice.
Gain practical experience by taking part in a placement with an organisation of your choice, such as a Non-Government Organisation (NGO).
Write a theoretical dissertation if you want to take a traditional route or pursue an academic career, or a practice-based dissertation to deepen expertise for a career in an NGO, think-tank, charity or media company.
Learn from philosophy experts who explore current ethical issues and how ethical theories impact our everyday lives.
