Building on a firm academic underpinning in sports science, sports therapy and fitness instruction, this course provides you with a skills-set to succeed in the vocational therapy and instruction environment, as well as the ability to self-direct and develop professionally and entrepreneurially.
The course also reflects the current demands and requirements of employers and customers in the market place. This is evidenced in the diverse approach to the modules on the programme.
Successful students may choose to progress to the BA (Hons) Sports Therapy, a one year top-up programme also delivered at the College, to gain a full honours degree award.

Gym & Group Instructor
Strength and Conditioning in Athletic Performance
Evidence Based Practice and Treatment of Injuries
You will be assessed in a range of formats, from multiple choice exams to essays, reports, practical examinations, presentations, portfolios, projects and session delivery.
To work as a teacher at a state school in England or Wales, you will need to achieve qualified teacher status (QTS). This is offered on this course for the following level:

Applicants for the course will need to have 48 UCAS points. The points can be from a range of Level 3 qualifications (NVQ Level 3, BTEC Level 3, A level. Alternatively the applicant may possess a vocational equivalent qualification (level 3), such as VTCT, CYQ or Active IQ.
Non-standard applicants will be considered on individual merit and industrial experience relevant to the programme.
