Course summary

Electrical engineering is essential to the modern world, encompassing everything from energy and automation through to communications and transport. The BEng (Hons) Electrical Engineering programme is designed to equip students with the skills to succeed as the engineers of the future. Throughout the course, there are opportunities to engage in hands-on projects and benefit from learning in an environment where electrical engineering research is being conducted by our academics. Strong links exist between our Mechanical and Electrical degrees, aiming to ensure graduates gain an excellent cross-disciplinary focus and an excellent understanding of engineering. Our ground-breaking collaboration with Siemens has won prestigious Lord Stafford and Times Higher Education awards.

    Hi I’m Ellie and I’m a Second Year Pharmacy student. I will be at Lincoln for 3 more years and plan on becoming a pharmacist when I graduate. I did A Level Biology, Chemistry, Maths and EPQ and I am very familiar with the clearing process due to my A levels not going as expected so feel free to ask questions around this subject too! Clearing felt very daunting at first when things didn’t go as planned on results day, but the process was actually really easy and ended up finding the university that’s best for me. Everything was so quick and it really helped me to settle into university lifestyle. So yeah, any questions you have about this I’m happy to answer :)

    Hi, I'm Chloe a current second year student at the University of Lincoln, studying Technical theatre and stage management. I am also a cheerleader, having competed all across the UK and abroad in Florida and Amsterdam. I am part of the cheerleading society, on Red Arrows, one of the competitive teams. I love all things theatre, especially musicals and hope to be working on the West-End some day! In my first year, I lived in Valentine Court, one of the university owned accommodations, and for my second year I have a house with some course mates. I took a gap year before starting university in which I worked and travelled, whilst deciding what I wanted my future to look like! I joined the University of Lincoln's Athletics society in September 2024, which has allowed me to make new friends, and take part in many social and competitive events. I ran my first 10k race in April 2025 with fellow society members! I live at home and commuted to campus during my first year. I either walked, drove or got the bus to university.
