Overall profile of 63% (120 credit Access Course) (NI Access Course); to include a 20 credit Level 2 Mathematics module, passed at 40% or successful completion of NICATS Mathematics as part of the pre-2021 Access Diploma. Overall profile of 15 credits at distinction and 30 credits at merit (60 credit Access Course) (GB Access Course). GB Access courses are 60 credits and therefore do not cover ANY GCSE requirements.

For this course, you must satisfy the General Entrance Requirements for admission to a first degree course and hold a GCSE pass at Grade C/4 or above in English Language and Mathematics. Level 2 Certificate in Essential Skills - Communication will be accepted as equivalent to GCSE English. NB Level 2 Certificate in Essential Skills -Application of Number is NOT acceptable as an alternative to GCSE Grade C Mathematics for entry to this course.

Overall Distinction (with distinctions in 75 Level 4 credits) for year 1 entry only. GCSE Maths Grade C/4 or an alternative Mathematics qualification acceptable to the University is also required.

HND Year 1 Entry Overall Merit (with distinction in 45 Level 5 credits). GCSE Maths Grade C/4 or an alternative Mathematics qualification acceptable to the University is also required. HND Year 2 Entry HND overall Merit (with distinctions in 45 Level 5 credits) in a relevant subject area for entry to Year 2. Ulster Foundation Degree Pass with overall 50% and minimum 50% in all taught level 5 modules. Applicants will normally be considered for entry to an associated Honours degree (normally Year 2 entry).
