Course summary

Why Sport Business Management with a Foundation Year?
You’ll develop skills in managing sports events, facilities and people, as well as capitalising on business opportunities in this dynamic industry. You’ll gain experience through professional placements, students have recently worked for Ironman UK, Gloucestershire FA, Mark Johnston Racing, Gullivers Sports Travel as well as for sports businesses in the USA, Australia and New Zealand.

You’ll also build your industry understanding through sports practitioners in lectures with recent guests including professionals from The Football People, Cricket South Africa, Gloucester Rugby and Aspire Sport and Cultural Trust.

Why a Foundation Year?
An integrated foundation year is an extra, introductory year at the beginning of the full degree. If you don’t meet the stated entry requirements or you’re returning to education, it could be a great option that enables you to study this course. As well as an introduction to your subject, it will help you to develop valuable study skills, and communication, teamwork and problem-solving techniques, giving you the confidence and skills set you need to progress.
