Course summary

The Pearson BTEC Higher National Diploma in Engineering (General Engineering) is designed to develop you as professional, self-reflecting individual who is able to meet the demands of employers in the rapidly evolving engineering sector.

The course with further develop the skills, knowledge and understanding you acquired at Level 4, supporting you to achieve high performance in the engineering and manufacturing environment.

The units studied have been selected in association with local employers in a variety of industries, aiming to satisfy their future needs. The qualification aims to develop knowledge and skills in engineering that will allow you to make positive contributions to employers as fast as possible and so progress in a career.

Whist this is a full-time course, typically this course generally only requires 1-2 days on campus attendance, supported by self-directed study. This means you can continue to work alongside your studies and balance other commitments. This programme is not open to students requiring a Student visa to study in the UK.
