Our degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering focuses on the design and operation of marine vehicles and offshore infrastructure. You'll learn how to design specialist systems using the latest technologies.
We design our curriculum and projects with leading companies. You'll take part in our annual design pitch, where you can showcase your project work to industry partners.
Working on multidisciplinary team projects, you'll gain hands-on experience in key areas such as:
energy applications
marine vehicle design
marine technologies
experimental and numerical analysis
Stage 4 focuses on master's-level study, which includes specialised modules and enhances your technical expertise.

T-levels are considered for direct entry onto the BEng. Applicants can apply for the BEng and transfer onto the MEng at the end of Stage 2 subject to meeting the progression requirements.
Access qualifications will only be considered for BEng registration in the first instance .At least 30 level 3 credits at Distinction to include 15 level 3 credits in mathematics (including differential and integral calculus) and 15 level 3 credits at Merit.
AAB at Advanced Higher including Mathematics. Two Highers at the required grade (in different subjects to those offered at Advanced Higher) may replace a third Advanced Higher. Scottish qualifications can be taken in more than one sitting.
34 points with Mathematics at Higher Level grade 6 or above.
If not studying full IB Diploma - Grades 6, 5, 5 at Higher Level including Mathematics and completion of a national high school diploma.

Candidates offering T-Level shoudl apply for H515 BEng Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.
Those offering Scottish Highers (without Maths at Advanced Higher), BTEC/OCR Extended Diploma or Irish Leaving Certificate Higher Level should apply for the Engineering Foundation Year.
