International Business and Management with a Modern Language

Course summary

Develop your language skills and gain the expertise to succeed in a fast-moving global economy, with our BSc Business and Management with a Modern Language degree.

This flexible course, taught by experts from Henley Business School and the Department of Languages and Cultures, provides you with a thorough understanding of the theory and practice of business management in an international context. As you develop your business acumen, you will explore a foreign language of your choice. You can start as a beginner in whatever language you choose – the appropriate level of learning and support will be provided. If you’re at an intermediate level, your learning will be tailored to your level of understanding.

Explore international business
You’ll study a variety of topics related to international business, including:

  • firms in the global economy

  • international corporate strategy

  • comparative international management

  • cross-cultural marketing

  • international human resource management.

You will also study the core disciplines that underpin business – including economics, psychology and sociology – and examine concepts such as:

  • organisational behaviour

  • operations

  • entrepreneurship

  • data analytics

  • accounting.
