Mae nifer o fyfyrwyr o’r farn bod astudio rhaglen gydanrhydedd yn brofiad gwerth chweil gan eu bod yn gallu gweld yr hyn sy'n debyg ac yn wahanol rhwng y ddau bwnc. Drwy gyfuno’r Gymraeg ac Addysg, byddwch yn ennill amrywiaeth o sgiliau trosglwyddadwy a gwybodaeth a fydd yn fuddiol ar gyfer eich dyfodol.

CYMRAEG

Mae cwrs y Gymraeg yn berthnasol i’r Gymru gyfoes ac yn cael ei ddysgu gan Ysgol sydd wedi’i chydnabod am ansawdd ac effaith ei hymchwil. Nod y cwrs yw cynhyrchu graddedigion sydd â dealltwriaeth drwyadl (yn academaidd ac yn ymarferol) o’r iaith Gymraeg, ei llenyddiaeth a’i diwylliant, lefel uchel o sgiliau ieithyddol ar lafar ac yn ysgrifenedig, a sgiliau cyflogadwyedd a chreadigol datblygedig sy’n berthnasol i’r Gymru fodern.

Mae’n cynnig modiwlau craidd a dewisol i roi sylfaen ichi o ran iaith a llenyddiaeth, yn ogystal â chyfle i arbenigo mewn meysydd sydd o ddiddordeb personol neu o ran eich gyrfa.

ADDYSG

Mae ein gwaith addysgu ar Addysg wedi ei seilio ar ein hymchwil ym myd addysg a’r datblygiadau diweddaraf o ran polisi ac ymarfer, gan gwmpasu agweddau ar ddiwylliant a hunaniaeth, plentyndod ac ieuenctid, rhywedd ac ethnigrwydd, a chyfiawnder cymdeithasol a chynhwysiad.

Mae modiwlau craidd wedi eu hanelu at ddatblygu dealltwriaeth ddofn o gyd-destunau cymdeithasol, hanesyddol, gwleidyddol, economaidd a datblygiadol addysg – yng Nghymru, y Deyrnas Unedig ac yn rhyngwladol.

Fel myfyriwr cydanrhydedd, fe welwch fod meysydd a safbwyntiau yn aml sy'n cysylltu pynciau, boed yn ddadansoddiad beirniadol, yn gyd-destunau hanesyddol neu'n ymchwil diweddar.

Mae’r ddwy ysgol sy’n gysylltiedig â chyflwyno’r radd hon yn cynnig cwrs heriol o fodiwlau, sydd wedi’i gefnogi gan awyrgylch cyfeillgar a chysylltiadau rhagorol rhwng y myfyrwyr a’r staff.

  • Er nad yw hwn yn gymhwyster addysgu, mae'n gyfle i astudio addysg mewn ffyrdd sy'n mynd y tu hwnt i ffocws ar ymarfer addysgu. Byddwch yn astudio’r dadleuon ehangach ynghylch addysg, gan osod y sylfaen ar gyfer amrywiaeth eang o yrfaoedd.

  • Mae ein cysylltiadau agos â llunwyr polisi, yn ogystal ag ysgolion, colegau a sefydliadau addysg a hyfforddiant eraill lleol, yn darparu cyfleoedd ichi ymgysylltu o ddifrif ag addysgwyr ac arferion. Mae nodweddion unigryw'r cwrs yn cynnwys:

UCAS Tariff - Not accepted

A level - BBB - BCC

Must include grade B in Welsh First or Second Language.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)

DM in a BTEC Diploma in Arts, Humanities, Science and Social Science subjects and grade B in Welsh First or Second Language at A Level. If you have grade B in a language at A level in combination with or in addition to the BTEC you will have access to the languages Upper Elementary pathway. If you have grade B in the relevant language A-level in addition to or in combination with a BTEC you will have access to the languages advanced pathways.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 31 - 29 points

31-29 overall or 665-655 in 3 HL subjects. You must also have a Welsh language qualification equivalent to grade B at A level. If you have grade 5 in a HL language you will have access to the languages Upper Elementary pathway.

WJEC Level 3 Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales

The Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales will be accepted in lieu of one A level at the A level grades specified, excluding any subject specific requirements.

Welsh Baccalaureate - Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate (last awarded Summer 2024)

The Welsh Baccalaureate Skills Challenge Certificate will be accepted in place of one A-level at the A-level grades specified, excluding any subject specific requirements.

Extended Project - A

For applicants taking the EPQ qualification, an A in the EPQ can be recognised to lower the entry requirements by a single grade. For example, an AAB offer would be “AAB from 3 A-levels or ABB from 3 A-levels and a grade A in the EPQ”. Please note that any subject specific requirements must be met.

GCSE/National 4/National 5

You must have or be working towards: - English language or Welsh language at GCSE grade C/4 or an equivalent (such as A-levels). If you require a Student visa, you must ensure your language qualification complies with UKVI requirements.

T Level

Acceptance of T Levels for this programme will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the Academic School. Consideration will be given to the T Level grade/subject and grades/subjects achieved at GCSE/Level 2.

We do not accept Critical Thinking, General Studies, Citizenship Studies, or other similar equivalent subjects.

We will accept a combination of BTEC subjects, A-levels, and other qualifications, subject to the course specific grade and subject requirements.

English language requirements

All applicants are expected to have demonstrable English language skills. Most courses ask for GCSE English grade C/4 or equivalent, but some courses ask for GCSE English grade B/6 or equivalent.
