The BDes Interactive Media Design Programme is a direct entry provision that accepts students into the 3rd year of a 4 year degree. The course welcomes students who have studied college diplomas in a number of subjects including but not limited to Digital Media, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Web Development, Computer Arts and Art & Design. This course is hosted in the School of Arts and Creative Industries as part of our internationally renowned design group and benefits from dedicated studio teaching.
In the first part of this degree you will be introduced to cutting edge means of creating media content and learn how to enhance this content with interaction. Alongside practical skills you will explore and apply the theory that will enhance your work. The practical skills you learn will allow you to learn the skills to design for the technology that is now ubiquitous in people's lives.
The final year of this degree is where you develop your own implementation of media and demonstrate this in a significant project. Alongside your final year studies you will develop entrepreneurial skills and produce an industry focused portfolio. You will exit this course with a strong sense of your potential place in industry.
Graduates of Interactive Media Design are in a strong position to join teams in a variety of workplaces.
