BA (Hons) Primary Education with QTS is a challenging teaching degree which will develop your knowledge and skills in the broad range of curriculum studies qualifying you to teach at primary level. Teaching placements in schools are an essential part of the course, accounting for a total of 70 credits and enabling you to gain valuable hands-on experience to prepare you for your first teaching job. When you graduate you will be a fully qualified primary school teacher.

To work as a teacher at a state school in England or Wales, you will need to achieve qualified teacher status (QTS). This is offered on this course for the following level:

You must also have five GCSEs at grade C or above, and these must include Mathematics, Science, and English Language, or equivalent qualifications. If you have studied for a GCSE which has a numerical grade then you will need to achieve a grade 4 or above.
