You’ll develop managerial skills, financial expertise and financial programming capabilities that prepare you for high‑impact roles such as financial officer, corporate finance specialist, money manager or investment banker. Alongside a strong foundation in strategic management, leadership and project execution, you’ll gain technical proficiency in financial analysis, investment management and programming for finance.

Through hands‑on experience with industry‑standard tools and programming languages, you’ll graduate with the digital skills employers are actively seeking, ready to lead, innovate and thrive in the future of business.

Modules

This course equips you with managerial skills grounded in financial knowledge, practices and applications. It incorporates managerial tools and abilities with financial knowledge, innovation and applications that are highly in demand today.

Your first year will begin by exploring the foundations of management, financial technology and financial management.

In your second year, you will gain skills in project management, financial analysis and automation. You will apply data tools, evaluate investments, design automated processes and develop communication, teamwork and decision-making competencies for modern business practice.

In the final year, you will gain high-level financial sector skills including evaluating complex instruments, applying advanced quantitative analysis, automating financial processes through programming and integrating ESG principles into investment decisions.

Year One: Understanding Organisations; Data Driven Decision Making; Introduction to FinTech; Developing your Career Foundations; Global Business and Sustainable Digital Futures; Essentials of Corporate Finance

Year Two: Project Management; Advanced Data Analytics; Securities and Investments; Developing Your Professional Identity; Live Project for Finance; Financial Automation; Optional 10‑credit module (or short work placement)

Your placement year will allow you to gain real-world experience, enhancing your employability and professional network.

Year Three: The Professional Graduate; Sustainable Business Practice; Advanced Corporate Finance; Financial Programming; Organisational Strategy and Leadership; Fixed Income Derivatives; Sustainable Finance; Optional 10‑credit module

Assessment method

We use different assessment techniques in different modules and try to ensure all assessments reflect the types of work you will do after graduating. This may include portfolio work, multiple choice questions, group reports and problem-solving questions.
