Physics with Meteorology

Course summary

This degree programme is aimed at students who wish to study a physics degree with a significant amount of atmospheric physics. This programme combines the study of physics with an introduction to meteorology.

Alongside a thorough grounding in physics, you will learn about atmospheric processes and the techniques used to study:

  • atmospheric physics

  • atmospheric dynamics

  • the physics of climate

Physics with Meteorology is presented in conjunction with the School of GeoSciences.

The key difference with the Physics programme lies in your final year, where you will study specialist meteorology courses along with meteorological projects.
