Our Mathematics with Statistics BSc provides you with a rigorous foundation of the fundamental aspects of both subjects. You will gain a deep understanding of a broad range of contemporary statistical methods, including the ability to apply them to solve complex problems. In mathematics you’ll cover core areas of pure and applied mathematics.
In your third year you’ll have the opportunity to complete a dissertation on a topic of your choice, working one-on-one with an academic supervisor, developing your independent research skills, critical thinking and creativity.
The programme equips you with a highly sought-after skillset, including an understanding of Machine Learning, data science and AI, enabling you to apply analytical and deductive thinking to data-rich environments in sectors such as tech, business and finance, healthcare, government and research.
You may transfer to the four-year Mathematics with Statistics with a Year Abroad BSc programme and spend your third year studying abroad, before returning to complete your final year with us. This depends on you reaching a certain grade average and being accepted by a partner university.
