Study a health foundation year and learn the key concepts and principles in health and social care to complete a full Honours degree. You'll be able to begin this qualification without meeting the level 3 entry requirements, gaining the essential skills required to succeed in degree-level education.
You can then study to become a physiotherapist with a practice and evidence-based BSc Physiotherapy degree from Canterbury Christ Church University. Accredited by both the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), you'll be ready to register as a chartered physiotherapist upon graduation.

During your physiotherapy course, your placements will form a body of evidence to showcase the experience and versatility that you have gained throughout your four years with us. Professional accreditation
The BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy is accredited and approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) respectively. Successful completion of this programme provides eligibility to apply for registration with the HCPC and full membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
Specialist facilities
As a healthcare student, you will have access to our specialist, industry-relevant, simulation facilities.
Physiotherapy students will be taught practical hands-on skills in their own dedicated area of the simulation suite. These facilities include equipment you would be using out on placement, to develop the skills and knowledge you need in a realistic simulated environment.

Home (UK) Fees:
Home (UK) tuition fees for Foundation Years at Canterbury Christ Church University will be set in line with the maximum tuition fee cap for foundation years in classroom-based subjects or non-classroom-based subjects, as set by the UK Government. Home (UK) tuition fees for subsequent years 1-3 are currently set in line with the maximum tuition fee cap for standard undergraduate degrees set by the UK Government, currently £9,535. However, this is subject to any changes to the maximum tuition fee cap, or any other changes to regulated undergraduate tuition fees, that might be subsequently approved by Parliament for the 2026/27 academic year onwards.
International Tuition Fees (including EU fees):
Undergraduate tuition fees for International students are not subject to the Government’s regulations on maximum tuition fees. The University’s 2026/27 Overseas tuition fees for international students, and information about any mid-course increases, will be published on each course webpage. Once you have successfully completed the Foundation Year, you will be eligible for extra funding from the government. Students on a nursing, midwifery and many allied health courses will be eligible to apply for an NHS Learning Support Fund of at least £5,000 a year to help with living costs. Eligible students may also be awarded additional funding up to £3,000 a year. This money will not need to be repaid.
